Boat people welcomed by the Vietnamese-Canadian community at Pearson Airport Saturday after 25 years in Thailand

Saturday November 15th 2014, Senator Ngo joined the Canadian-Vietnamese community in Toronto to welcome the first of 105 Vietnamese Boat People who have been stateless in Thailand for the past 25 years. Immigration, Voting and Human Rights Town Hall

Senator Ngo was joined by Minister Alexander along with members of Parliament Ted Opitz and Mark Adler to discuss new immigration measures that will strengthen the immigration act. Members of Parliament addressed questions from the community and discussed the importance of voting. Senator Ngo gave an update on the Human Rights situation in Vietnam and encouraged participants to get involved within their communities.

Remembrance Day Ceremony 2014 at Royal Canadian Legion

Senator Ngo attended the Ceremony at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch for this Remembrance Day in honour of our devoted veterans and fallen soldiers.
