On July 14, the Executive Board of GAVE (Golden Age Village for the Elderly) invited Senator Ngo along with members of Ontario’s new PC government to attend a meeting and presentation that aimed to raise awareness of, and increase support for, the GAVE project – which would provide a healthy, happy, and affordable living environment for elderly Vietnamese Canadians living in the GTA. Among the distinguished guests were MPP Stephen Lecce and Minister Michael Tibollo.

Deputy Mayor Mario Ferri and Dr. Joseph Wong, founder and chair of the Yee Hong Centre, also participated in the event. Many members of the Vietnamese Canadian organizations in Toronto were also in attendance. Included were Dr. Kien Le, President of the Vietnamese Association of Toronto and President of the Vietnamese Canadian Confederation, Dr. Lộc Lê & Mrs. Hoa Hoang, Vice-Chairs of the Vietnamese Women Association, as well as Mrs. Diep Tran & Mrs. Nga Dam, Chair & Vice chair of the Vietnamese Senior Association of Mississauga.
