Toronto Lunar New Year Festival

January 16, 2016

As we bid farewell to the Year of the Goat and welcome the Year of the Monkey, Senator Ngo traveled to Toronto to take part in the annual Lunar New Year Festival with the Vietnamese Association, Toronto – Canada’s largest Vietnamese Canadian community.

A number of dignitaries and special guests joined in the celebrations, including Minister John McCallum, Interim Leader of the Official Opposition Rona Ambrose, Member of Parliament Francesco Sorbara, Member of Provincial Parliament Cristina Martins, P.P Sylvia Jones, and Toronto Mayor John Tory.

This celebration serves as a reminder of the meaningful contributions of what has become a prosperous and vibrant Vietnamese Canadian community. Their cultural legacy has been recognized for its strong values and stoic commitment to family and friends, to work, and to building better lives for those generations to come.

May the Year of the Monkey bring you and your loved ones good health, peace, and prosperity.
