Toronto Tet Festival 2013

January 19, 2013 – The Toronto Têt Festival brought together enthusiastic members of the Vietnamese-Canadian community and political leaders for a day of celebration. The Senator had the honour of introducing to the podium the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, the first Canadian prime minister to attend the Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival. The Prime Minister and Senator Ngo were also joined by Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, Senator Tobias Enverga Jr., as well as other Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and Members of Parliament. Senator Ngo also assisted the Prime Minister as he presented Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals to dedicated members of the Vietnamese-Canadian community of Greater Toronto.
