Ottawa Memorial Project for the Victims of Communism and Asian Heritage Month Celebration

On May 4th 2013, Senator Thanh Hai Ngo attended an event for the Victims of Communism where he showed his support to Tribute to Liberty’s project to establish a major monument in memory of the victims of the crimes of communism and educated the public about communism’s past crimes and ongoing human rights abuses. He also presented a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal to Alide Forstmanis on behalf of the Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

On May 5th 2013, Senator Thanh Hai Ngo attended a celebration of Asian Heritage Month, where he acknowledged the contribution of Asian Canadians to this country. Senator Ngo also accepted an appointment as Adviser to the Board of Canadian Multicultural Council for Asians in Ontario.
